Lauderdale Francs His Last Start Form With Another Win

Apr 16, 2018

The patience bestowed upon Lauderdale by Rothesay out of the Mare Jeopardy has been repaid with the four-year-old Bay gelding chalking up back-to-back wins after taking out the Australian Hotel benchmark 64 handicap at Grafton over at 2220m with Clayton Gallagher putting in a near perfect ride under the beautifully prepared runner.

Sitting prominently in the early stages, Lauderdale swapped the lead a couple of times with Mister Hooterbell, I’ll Miss You sat back off the speed with the well supported, Two For The Road following on.

On straightening for home Lauderdale who was stepped up in distance, carried the field on its back to eventually cruise to the line and take out the benchmark 64 in advance of Art Attack with Whakatane third in advance of I’ll Miss You.
