Our Colt is out of the Group 2 winner NOIRE who is a DANEHILL line mare and MAURICE loves DANEHILL blood, remember we mentioned his Group 1 winners HITOTSU, out of a REDOUTE'S CHOICE mare, and MAZU, out of a FLYING SPUR mare.
This crop of MAURICE foals and this Colt were conceived after HITOTSU and MAZU won their Group 1's and that meant his fee went up and the quality of mares he got improved. These are the best mares that have been bred to the horse in Australia by a long way. It is fair to say he should get better racehorses. Time will tell.
