When you take the chance to look at this Colt's video and photos please take into account that he is a 19th November foal so was a few days over 14 months of age. You couldn't pick it against the August and September foaled Colts and 2 & 3 months is a huge difference at this age. Because of his age we have decided to leave him at Waikato Stud for the next few months with a likely plan to bring him home on a direct flight to Brisbane in May just before it starts to get cold in New Zealand and we can break him in during the warmer Winter in Queensland.
When LA DORADO was way too good for them in the Karaka Millions you would have thought the progeny of her father SUPER SETH would be very hard to buy the following few days but they were very good buying.
Give us the progeny of the young stallion whose oldest progeny are only 3 and he has 5 stakes winners already including the very smart LINEBACKER who is not only a stakes winner at 2 but Group 1 placed at 2. Closer to home just watch the facile last start win of SAVOUR THE DREAM at Eagle Farm. This is the sort of horse we want to race.
We don't profess to be geniuses in the genetics sphere but someone close to us told us that this Colt has an outstanding genetic makeup to make a racehorse and we will bow to his greater knowledge to go with his great athleticism.
He was simply too nice a horse not to buy for just NZD50,000.
Be aware that the purchase price does not include his freight to Australia and GST. We would anticipate that costing $10 to $11,000 in total likely due in May.
